Suggestion
I guess we could not talk you into providing more than one Arts and Crafts room. You had to have only one room with "multiple uses." The idea of a separate art room for ceramics, which is messy and dusty and best kept separate from other forms of art, and requires a kiln and rollers and tubs of glaze and storage for works in progress and would attract its own set of enthusiasts did not resonate with the designers. Likewise the idea of a separate room for stained and slumped glass, and wood working and lapidary and leather work all requiring their own equipment which would have to be stored "somewhere" in a shared work environment, did not resonate with the designers. You did not understand the popularity of such complete arts and crafts complexes as exemplified by the typical retirement communities such as Sun City that would attract people, seniors yes, but also young adults and juniors, to discover and expand their creativity just because they are there. Have you ever been to the Barnsdale Art Complex in Los Angeles, where I grew up? People lined up to join a class or club and create something artistic. Another benefit of having a special space for an art club in each of the various disciplines is that you have mentors and teachers who love their craft and can pass on the joy and skills to new members. Anyway, you made up your mind to have one shared room so I guess there is no changing it now. I'm sorry I was not able to make a convincing enough argument to create an arts and crafts complex early on in the design phase. I tried.
